Their cups overfloweth!

It was a case of cups galore for Mike and Caroline Robertson (below) who won the Lucent Pot for the best log of a cruise (through the Havengore Creek), the Psyche Trophy, for the greatest number of ports and anchorages visited (32), and the Hollowshore Cup, for the highest number of logged miles (997). Brian Chapman and Lorraine Breaker were close runners up for the Psyche Trophy with 30 ports and anchorages.

Roger Hill is pictured below, receiving from Beryl Brooke the Mary Legg Trophy, a new award for the best video and / or photo compilation of a trip or the season. Roger’s videos of club sailing trips are often shown at the clubhouse on Sundays, and are available to buy.

Peter Flower on Cloudy Bay won the Bryan Hills-Johnes Memorial Shield for the most single-handed miles in the season (724). He will be presented with his award later.


Bob Todd , both Rear Commodore and Bosun, was named winner of the Viking Cup for Member of the Year, and will be presented with the award later. He was described as “an exemplary, cheerful colleague and always full of good ideas at committee meetings. Not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in.”
