Club Moorings

Members will recall that both the HCC buoys in The Swale were moved off station when a commercial vessel dragged its anchor in a storm. Both are now back.

One, a bright yellow / orange one marked HCC is at approximately 51°20.941 N, 000° 53.509 E, just downstream of the Harty Ferry slip.  The second is nearby.

They are not for permanent mooring but intended for occasional use, for example by someone wanting  to spend a night out on their boat, for a few hours fishing, or to await the tide to get back into the creek.

If you use them, best to fly the club burgee. At busy times visitors will pick up any vacant buoy and it is easier  to identify  non-members, and politely ask them to move to another buoy,  if there is no HCC burgee flying.
