Congratulations to HCC member Simon Harding, who has completed his third round-Britain cruise in his 51’ gaff yawl Cygnet of London. Partner Sharon joined him for much of the journey.
During an event-full trip in stunning scenery, they saw bottlenosed and common dolphins, a Risso’s dolphin and a pod of killer whales.
Cygnet is a gaff rigged yawl, built in 1906 by the Burgoine Brothers of Kingston on Thames to a design by her first owner G. Chalmers. At some time she was converted to Bermudan rig, and converted back to gaff yawl rig in 2006.
